Spooky Bassoon Tunes: Videos & Songs

Happy Spooky season fellow bassoonists, parents, and teachers! Below you’ll find some fun Halloween-themed videos, bassoon performances, and music to help you celebrate the holiday at home.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. And while we won’t be celebrating with our friends in person this year, we do have a fun socially distanced yard haunt set up and we’ll be partying with our friends on Zoom instead!

I’ve gathered a few spooky melodies and songs for Halloween and arranged them for bassoon. I hope you enjoy these haunted melodies and have a very Happy Halloween!

For more spooky tunes, try your hand at guessing a Mystery Song or check out the full chapter of spooky songs in the Blue Moon Bassoon Songbook (Chapter 11: Haunted Grove).

I also highly recommend these fun halloween-themed bassoon song and duet books!

Hall of the Mountain King is a great Halloween song that also happens to feature the bassoon! I love this version with the line rider animations.

The Breaking Winds Bassoon Quartet send shivers down your spine with their rendition of Spooky Scary Skeletons. Original song by Andrew Gold.
