Affordable Bassoon Gifts Under $15

Bassoon supplies can be expensive, but I’ve rounded up a selection of fun, high-quality gifts under $15! Check out the items below if you want a unique, affordable bassoon present.

A high-gloss white ceramic mug featuring the Degas painting “Orchestra of the Opera”. Perfect for your morning coffee or soaking reeds!

This is one of my favorite bassoon CDs of all time. It is truly exceptional bassoon playing and repertoire by the fantastic bassoonist and Professor of Bassoon at Rice University, Benjamin Kamins. The playful cd case is fun to feature on a shelf!

This book includes a variety of broadway tunes arranged for bassoon including Beauty and the Beast, Cabaret, Circle of Life, Don't Cry for Me Argentina, I Dreamed a Dream, Phantom of the Opera, and more. It’s always nice to have some fun music options for when you need a little extra motivation to practice or just want something fun and light to work on.

Tenor Clef Bassoon Flash Cards

Learning tenor clef on the bassoon can be challenging. These would make a great gift for intermediate-advanced bassoon students who are learning tenor clef. I have found that flash cards are one of the fastest and easiest ways for students to memorize a new clef.

I love these handy stickers with a blank bassoon fingering. They are perfect for filling in and sticking to your music. I used these often during lessons to remind students of new fingerings. They are also great for students trying to practice writing and remembering fingerings!

An essential reference book for all bassoonists, featuring the first step-by-step method for tuning and adjusting bassoon reeds by renowned reed expert, Mark Eubanks.

A handy pop socket for phone or tablets with a minimalist bass clef design.

I hope you’ve enjoyed browsing this list of my favorite affordable bassoon gifts.
